Members of the public can drop in at any point to review and provide feedback to the updated draft Downtown Master Plan. Plan updates will be visible at stations throughout the room, and staff will be available to answer questions and receive feedback. These updates are primarily to the transportation and implementation sections of the plan, providing a clear outline of the plan’s scope and adjusting recommendations to align with recent neighborhood feedback.

The 2050 Downtown Cornelius Master Plan establishes a 25-year conceptual vision for the future of the Old Town area, including incremental recommendations for land use, development characteristics, transportation improvements, branding, and historic preservation. The plan is currently in draft format. Adoption is contemplated later into 2026, following receipt of comments from the public and further evaluation by the board of commissioners.
