UiC's John Lewis Day of Action rally on July 17th brought together individuals of all political affiliations to advocate for voting rights and civic participation.
The Supreme Court must exercise its moral duty in rendering a decision defending homeless individuals and uphold the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits excessive bail, fines, and cruel and unusual punishments.
Be sure to vote in the upcoming primaries! 2024 will be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes. Our democracy, as imperfect as it is, will be on the line and it’s up to each one of us to fight for it. And then continue to work to make it better.
At the January large group meeting, UiC's first Lenzy R. Wallace, Jr. PhD Excellence Award was given to an individual (Michelle Goglia) and an organization (Ada Jenkins Center, represented by Leslie Wilson) who exemplified Lenzy's strength of character and dedication towards racial equity solutions.
The National Night Out event will include food, games, and performances by local artists. The Davidson Police Department will be joined by the Davidson Fire Department, North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers, and many other participants.
