1. “he did not even listen to my lungs, he didn’t touch me in any way”, expressed Dr. Susan Moore, discussing treatment by her fellow doctors. After her needs and requests were ignored and she was sent home, Dr. Moore died 3 weeks later of Covid-19 at the age of 52.
2. Covid-19 has exposed the devastating realities of long-standing structural inequities experienced by Black and Brown people in this country.
3. A study in 2016 — only four years ago — showed that many White medical students and residents believed false race-based metrics and narratives.
