Unity in Community Launches New Unity Group Curriculum: One Person, No Vote

Jul 21, 2026

Unity in Community is excited to officially launch our newest Unity Group curriculum, inspired by Carol Anderson’s One Person, No Vote: How Voter Suppression Is Destroying Our Democracy.

This new curriculum invites participants to explore the history and impact of voting rights in America while engaging in meaningful conversations about belonging, civic participation, and how we can work together to build stronger, more inclusive communities. Throughout the series, participants will examine key themes from the book while discussing practical action steps they can take in the months ahead to become informed, engaged, and active members of their communities.

Our Unity Group facilitators recently gathered for training and preparation, equipping themselves to lead thoughtful discussions and create welcoming spaces where participants can learn from one another, ask questions, and build meaningful relationships.

Participants have now received their new Unity Group assignments, facilitator information, and curriculum materials. We encourage everyone to connect with their facilitator, begin reading the book, and come ready to listen, learn, and grow together.

If you have not yet purchased a copy of One Person, No Vote, it is available through Amazon and many local booksellers.

At Unity in Community, we believe that lasting change begins with relationships. Our Unity Groups are designed to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to engage in respectful dialogue, deepen understanding, and strengthen the sense of belonging that is at the heart of our mission.

We are excited to begin this new season of Unity Groups and look forward to the conversations, connections, and community that will grow from this shared experience.
